Food was good. Staff was friendly. The rediculous part is their shots. They say it's 2oz pour, but yet they use the plastic 1.25oz shot glasses. Then, on top of that it's $9 dollars a shot for well whiskey (Canadian Club). The whole bottle is worth $7. As a bartender that is straight robbery. DO NOT BUY SHOTS HERE!!

Otey’s Tavern in Mountain Brook is a beloved local institution that perfectly blends casual dining with a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The ultimate nachos are a crowd favorite, loaded with cheese, beef, jalapeños, and served with a tangy southwestern sour cream that keeps you coming back for more.

Great little place for a bite to eat or a drink or to see a live band. Friendly staff, families welcome, and the chili, cheese fries, and burgers were terrific!

We went for the National Championship and it was very busy. Service was how I would expect a busy night to be but still friendly. Drinks were too pricey imo.
