Oswego Public Library

It's a very nice place to go if you're in the area. Fun for all ages, kids can play or find a cozy area to sit and read books. In this library, you can check out pans to bake... They had a scavenger hunt when we went, and Santa came so kids could take photos with him. They had a harp concert, which was really cool. There were 5 ladies, and they did an amazing job at!

The Oswego Public Library is a historic place where people can learn and discovery who they are, especially children. This library has many programs for children, for example, free craft times, story times, and the Summer Reading program. It is also a great place to learn about the history of Oswego and this castle. Besides that, the librarians in this castle are very helpful and friendly.

I was visiting a few years ago and was in awe of the library. I grew up going to the library especially during the summers with my Mom. I always took out the maximum of 30 books at a time. The children’s library was a dream and I wonder if they still have copies of my favorite unicorn book? I never realized as a child just how historic my hometown was. Then when I saw the library I was like whoa this is a castle! Oswego is an amazing place I only regret not going to SUNY Oswego for travel international business but back then I had zero support for my dreams. It’s too bad my parents divorce we lived in a historical home in fruit valley a Victorian mansion.

Gorgeous historic building listed on the National Historic Registry. A must see if visiting Oswego! Computers, research and a great selection of books as well as a children’s room. Reserve the community room for community events. We love our library!

Great library with a phenomenally decorated children's room on upper level. Study rooms reservable. Really tapped into the neighborhood with event calendars and ad listings.
