Original Tommy's

Tommy’s is a famous LA burger joint known for its chili pasted hamburgers and fries. It’s an institution for many. It’s also an acquired taste. But I acquired that taste some 30 years ago, and I can’t pass up having a chili burger. It met all my expectations. There was a slight hiccup in my order, but that’s OK. The prices are a lot more than they were when I started going there, but isn’t everything? If you need a taste of Beverly and Rampart, this is your place to go.

In my opinion Tommy's World famous chili cheeseburges are the best and a MUST every time I'm in Cali. Once on way in. Once while I'm there and once on the way out. Don't tell my mom. The perfect slices of tomatoes the cool crisp pickles and onions and chilled mustard total deliciousness. French fries extra crispy Lysol with their famous chili extra cheese diced onions and pepperoncinis on the side all washed down with cold pop. Sadly living in Arizona there is no locations in this state. Tommy's chili over eggs and bacon topped off with a sharp cheddar. Bon appetit

Horrible I went through a drive through ask for a double Bacon Cheeseburger with light sauce.If she argued with me 5 minutes about what sauce that is and a thousand island. Never mentioned anything about chili. There's no sign saying all the hamburgers come with chili. I opened up, there's chili all over it. I returned it and she said " well. You have to specify, " specify what.I made it clear that I want to double bacon.Cheeseburger with light thousand island sauce. Very gross very rude absolutely unpleasant.

Staff were great no matter how hard a time I gave them, they kept a smile. The facility was clean. The food was plentiful for the price. The hot dog was a little tough for my liking, but everything else was good.

This is my first time dining at Tommy's hamburger shop. We ordered a double cheese burger with mayo ketchup tomato onion and lettuce. And a double cheese burger with chilli. We ordered two large drinks and fries covered in cheese and chili. It cost around $26. They forgot lettuce on one burger. And the burgers were greasy. You can see the pictures. They were a little overcooked in my opinion. The chill on the fries and burger was just ok. The meat in the chill is more of a pasty consistency. If you like that then you are good. It was just a tiny bit spicy. The food was hot. The restaurant was spotless. The service was friendly. I would rather get an in and out burger any day.
