Customer Reviews
Just what you would expect for an oyster house. Looks like a tourist spot from the outside but the place was filled with locals during the offseason. Food was great. Fried crab claws were a first and the gulf shrimp was so good. Sat at the bar to watch the football games and the bartenders took really good care of us. Definitely recommend this place! Prices were good as well.
Had a nice experience at the Oyster House in Mobile! The oysters on the half shell were fresh and delicious — exactly what you hope for when you’re on the Gulf Coast. The bartender was enjoyable with great service and a fun, welcoming vibe. And you can’t beat the $5 add-on salad bar — such a bonus and a great value! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Mobile. Oh, and nice to see locals hanging out. You know it's a good place.
Came here for lunch when passing through Mobile on a Tuesday. It wasn’t too packed and we were seated promptly. Quick, friendly service and a laid back atmosphere. We got the fried crawfish tails as an app, grilled shrimp with red beans and rice, and blackened flounder with crab meat, Alfredo sauce and fries. It was very delicious! Taking off a star because my water cup looked kinda gross (see photo), and the fries weren’t very good. That said I’d still come back just for the seafood and recommend this place just bring your own drink.
Appetizer for $36 was kinda overpriced in my head. That was a market price for crab claw. Oysters had a lot of blue cheese, too much flavor. Couldn’t feel the oysters by itself. The rest is good. I’m personally not the fan of panko everywhere. I prefer clean fish and seafood. But overall is ok.
A local person suggested this restaurant to me. He went on about this place, so I had to check it out. I already had high expectations by the time I arrived. The parking lot was filled with cars. That indicated that others concurred with the local I encountered. In the elevator, other residents enthusiastically recommended trying everything on the menu. I’m not sure if Sonia rolled out the red carpet for me because I mentioned writing a review (my waitress), but she’s amazing. She showed me how to make cocktail sauce. I'll forever make it at my house. If this is your first time trying this restaurant I recommended ordering the fisherman's Pride. A little bit of everything. Overall this was a great experience.
