Good burgers and waffle fries! Easy and fast to get a table on a Monday night. Service was fast and accommodating. Malts were sweeter and more vanilla than I expected - which is positive. This is the kind of place that focuses on the freshness and taste of the food. Trust my photos - everything is delicious. Cooked to perfection and not overdone/overgreased. Tip: order the seasoned sour cream. Parking is what it is for a strip mall...watch for people.

The food is excellent. So many malt and sundae flavors! The kids loved the quarter-operated candy claw game near the front door. We went on a Saturday night and only waited 15 minutes for a table for a party of 9.

Cute retro diner vibes in an unassuming strip mall. It has an old-fashioned atmosphere with striped wallpaper and vinyl booths. They have a wide variety of shake/malt flavors.

Food was decent. Coleslaw was plain and it just taste like only mayo in it, burger was plain and dry. Fries was ok. The malt was the best thing there.

The Original Malt Shop has the best Burgers in the Twin Cities. This place has to be on your list of places to eat! I stop every time I’m in the area. Also, don’t forget the malts! They are hand made from scratch. The service is always quick and friendly!!
