ORIENTAL CAFE RESTAURANT

This place is awesome. I work at UConn and I have an hour lunch so anytime I want something quick to eat, I always come here. They have very inexpensive lunch specials and they have a ton of options. The food is affordable, fresh, and the service is fast. Love it here.

Today we went to our son’s favorite restaurant Oriental Cafe for the most delicious weekend lunch ever! Fresh, delicious, and such a selection! The atmosphere is charming and the service is great. Highly recommend dining in and treating yourselves! As always we had a great time.

This place brings me back to Japan. closest thing to authentic asian food you can get in Storrs CT. Has a great selection. the sushi is fresh and delish. the teriyaki dishes come out sizzling hot. Me and my friends drop hella bank here and we’re broke college students so i think that says enough.

Food is pretty good, but the service was extremely disappointing. The woman at the counter called me out in front of everyone for not tipping while I was paying. She said, “So service was not good?” as if I had said something wrong. At first I thought she was joking, but when I responded like “no of course not,” she looked genuinely angry. It was very unprofessional and inappropriate. Restaurants around here already take advantage of college students, and I’ve been a loyal customer who tips frequently. I’m sorry for not handing out extra money every single time, but tipping is not required… On top of that, I was there for a grand total of maybe 20 minutes, in and out. I also politely asked for a straw and never received it. Overall, the food doesn’t make up for the rude behavior. I won’t

absolutely the best place to eat near uconn. staff is so friendly and accommodating, and the food is SO GOOD. they also have so many options and a very comfy atmosphere. just an overall amazing place!!!!
