One & Only BBQ

This was the worst impression of barbecue I’ve ever experienced. Nothing about the taste or smell was what you’d expect barbecue to be. The drummies were oddly tiny and I’m completely convinced that the brisket and turkey is just deli meat. Worst of all, the ribs were dried out with a strong uncovered refrigerator taste. It’s always sad when a small business goes commercial.

We were in Memphis, so we had to try BBQ! The service was fine, very quick. A very small dining area, I think this is more of a get it to go type place than sit down and eat here place. The BBQ pork sandwich was very good, so were all the sides. The banana pudding was also good. The weakest part of the meal was the deviled eggs. I love deviled eggs and I've never had a bad deviled egg, but these were just okay. Overall all, an enjoyable meal.

My meal is missing a sandwich. Just ordered a pork shoulder dinner and 2 orders of one chicken one pork Hawaiian sliders. I only got 3 sliders so I basically paid 7$ for a single slider. Still giving five stars only because the young man who handed me my order and the girl server who greeted me were incredibly kind, and the weather is horrible for them to be working today. too nice to leave a bad review. Please hook me up the next time I’m in there for my trouble.

Took 15 minutes to get a BBQ at 1:30pm with NOBODY in the restaurant. Blondish woman in glasses got snotty when I asked if my sandwich would be out soon after 10 minutes waiting. The 10 buck sandwich was pretty good with almost no smoke on it. Passed on the $4.40 side of beans. They charge a lot. Guy picked up a wing order and haggled over a couple of small sauce sides. Wouldn't pay 3 dollars plus each for maybe 3-4 ounces of sauce. Barbecue was just ok. Pretty moist but hardly smoked. I've had better experiences at the Cordova location.

First time eating here and was surprised by how small it was. Our server was very personable and was on top of everything. Everyone really enjoyed their food, me included. We ordered a variety of things but overall it was a 8.7/10 My burger was a 9 for sure. I really wish they had a bigger dining area since people were constantly coming in, proving the food was good. I heard this was the better location for sure ! Glad we picked it.
