On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

I’ve been coming to On The Border in North Brunswick for about 25 years, and it’s been a few years since my last visit. I never got around to posting a review before, but coming back after so long really reminded me why this place has lasted all these years. It’s got that same nostalgic feel, and the food has stayed consistent for decades. Nothing fancy, just honest, comforting food that feeds the soul. That consistency is probably one of the biggest reasons they’ve survived and stayed loved by so many. Today’s visit stood out because of our server, Jenna. She was outstanding from start to finish. Her attention to detail, warm attitude, and genuine care really made a difference. I go out to eat a lot, and it’s rare to see service this polished and effortless. Huge credit to On The Borde

This was my second time visiting On The Border, and once again, I had a great experience! The place wasn’t too crowded, which made it even more enjoyable. I tried something new this time — while the food didn’t feel super fresh, the flavor was still really good. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite spots! Huge shoutout to our waitress Toni — she was so sweet and welcoming. Honestly, having someone like her around is one of the reasons I came back. The restaurant should be proud to have such a lovely team member! And the dessert… wow! I had the fried Oreos with vanilla ice cream, and they were absolutely amazing. Everything was tasty, the vibes were nice, and the prices were more than fair as always. Definitely coming back again!❤️❤️

I love this restaurant. Nice burritos and tabas. The salat is great 👍. Also beautifull cocktails.

Ranchadillas were pretty good. House Margarita was okay… not my favorite sweet and sour flavor but tolerable. Bartender was very friendly and helpful

We’ve been coming here since they open We love the chips and salsa that are made there at the restaurant fresh every day, the margaritas are delicious and they have so many different flavors. The food is really good. I highly recommend it, we come here all the time.
