You must try their tea! So good! We were served by Anya. She is the most caring person. It’s a small restaurant serving Central Asian and Russian cuisine. I enjoyed shurpa- hearty soup with meat.

We dined at Omar Khayam and ordered Kezan kebab, chicken kebab, and samosas. Unfortunately, all the food was served cold. Instead of preparing it fresh, the restaurant microwaved the food and brought it to us. This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The food quality was unacceptable, and reheating cold kebabs in a microwave is not what anyone expects from a restaurant. We are coming to a restaurant to have fresh cooked kebabs. Very disappointing. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this place.

Omar Khayyam in Denver, Colorado is a wonderful dining spot for many reasons. The cozy setting creates a dining experience that makes you feel welcome. The food is consistently excellent, with flavorful, well-seasoned dishes that provide an authentic experience for Middle Eastern cuisine. The generous portions and beautifully presented plates make every meal feel thoughtfully prepared. The service is equally impressive. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and very hospitable. Omar Khayyam is a hidden gem of a restaurant that delivers great food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I recommend 100%!!

We were looking for koobideh kabobs and stumbled across Omar Khayyam! It was an incredible surprise. Farik was so welcoming and kind, making us a custom blend of tea and helping me select dishes that were vegetarian to try. My boyfriend got the koobideh and liked it, but unfortunately I didn’t get photos. We also tried the bread, okroshka, buckwheat, summer salad, and potato dumplings. Everything was so fresh tasting and we look forward to coming back in the future! One note is that there are some images of a Persian menu on the Google listing that we didn’t realize were outdated. They don’t have a “typical” Persian menu (more of a fusion menu) which surprised us at first, but we embraced it and were so happy we did so. It was delicious so definitely stop by and try it!!

Absolutely amazing experience! The service was exceptional — warm, attentive, and professional. Prices are very reasonable, and the food was incredibly fresh and delicious. The owner is so polite and courteous, which made the visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back again!
