Olympic Family Restaurant- Colfax

My wife and I spent a long day at the local VA and we decided to get something to eat before returning home so after a brief Google search, I decided it was time to try Olympic. Since arriving in the Piedmont we’ve seen quite a few of Olympic locations but we hadn’t tried them yet. We arrived before 3pm on a Friday afternoon and there were a few customers but this location wasn’t too busy. We sat ourselves and our waitress arrived shortly and took our drink orders. I ended ordering Fried Catfish with fries and my wife ordered the Baked Lasagna. Our meals were hot and delicious but were not exceptional. I don’t mention this as a demerit, just a fact. Our visit to Olympic was a positive one. The food was good, the prices reasonable and the staff were helpful and attentive without hovering. I

A great hidden treasure nestled just outside of the city limits of Greensboro. This spacious restaurant combines a family friendly atmosphere with economical prices. The food arrived hot and fresh and was plentiful. My order was the catfish platter for approximately $15. This is a great restaurant to patronize and they have specials every day. Parking is adequate unless you visit during a busy time.

Honestly was very disappointed with my food this morning, this was my first visit to this location and it was not good people were very nice but my meal was terrible I've had better food from the hospital, the food was very bland my steak didn't taste like anything, thank goodness they put steak sauce in a cup bc I probably wouldn't have ate it otherwise (I normally never use steak sauce or anything when I get steak elsewhere) and also the grease mixed with the yolks of my busted eggs and made a disgusting grey liquid on the bottom of my tray 🤢 and the hash browns honestly they put way too much, enough for like 3 people. That picture is of what was left before I threw it out .. I also had French toast, that wasn't bad.. but definitely won't be ordering steak there every again..

First time here today for lunch. I had the steak strips. Along with those I had mashed potatoes with gravy and pinto beans as well as macaroni and cheese. Everything was really great!! I also got some baklava to go. I ate it later in the evening and it was AMAZING!! 😋

Delicious and fresh food, amazing servers, affordable prices, great placevto enjoy a nice meal...also: they have different lunch special for each week day and they are fantastic!
