Old World Deli

I'll start w the positive. Friendly staff. Burger, fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, & tabouli were good. The negative, I don't see how deli is in the name. The bun is split. The meat is cut all funky. So it wasnt freshly sliced. Cheese not evenly distributed. I had to reconstruct the Pompeii just to eat it & everything just kept falling because they put in on a hoagie bun which is different from the few pictures I saw on Google. They put veggies in a bag. I understand if it's a hot sub. The Pompeii isn't. The tomato didn't taste fresh. Their Italian dressing didn't have enough seasoning in it for me so I used my own.

I was in the mood for a gyro and Nikos was closed on Tuesday. So glad we found Old World Deli! I’ll still say that Nikos makes a fine gyro but this place is much better! I got the regular gyro and hummus. For the size and price, I was impressed with the amount of meat. I could have used a pinch more tzatziki but that’s the only thing I would change. I can’t imagine how big that large is. Maybe I’ll work my way up to it one day. Next the hummus. Again, the portion was solid and very shareable. The warm fluffy pita was also delicious. I really enjoy Aladdin’s hummus and I would put theirs next to Aladdin’s any day. All very good! Looking forward to returning and trying some different options.

Ahh made it back here from when I used to work next door and I already knew the Gyro's were good but today I had the Chili, WOW 5 out of 5 and I make my own chili that is really good. It's hardy, just excellent flavor and the right amount of spice. The owners are fabulous people, just good folks. You want to support that. Got a chili for the road and am thankful. Pay the buck and add the cheese!!!

Great food. Great service. So many choices for any appetite big or small. Catering is the best and the lebanese options are out of this world. You are an example of a 5 star restaurant. You won’t leave with a empty stomach or a unhappy memory . This place is the best and worth your appetite. Your stomach will appreciate it.

Been going here for over 15 years. Really good gyros. They have a plethora of options to choose from. You can get your gyro meat gridled as well to make it a little crispy. They are a loved part of Brunswick. My only true wish? That they would have tater tots as a side option.
