Old Waialua Sugar Mill

More of an alternate commercial venue for all sorts of businesses than something to see related to historical sugar processing. One souvenir type shop for those types of purchases. Local surf shop was neat too.

I struggled with this review because it's suppose to he historic but historic shouldn't corleate with run down and dirty. The property owner can do so much more with parking, paving and overall cleaning up the area of trash and horrible parking and driveway. The tenants are trying to create their spaces but property owner needs to step up. Example of greed- high rents and zero upkeep by property owner.

Absolutely must visit!!! So charming, so many things to see! They also have ALL NATURAL shave ice!!! No artificial color or flavors! There are so many shops, so many local offerings! This is a hidden gem that offers something for everyone!

My husband and I added this to our North Shore stop at the last minute. We are so happy we did. Initially when we walked in we thought we'd look for a few minutes and walk back out. That changed when Jessie greeted us. She took us on tour. Explained the history and why they switched from sugar to coffee & chocolate. Described each step in the process. It was such a good stop. We found out that this job is Jessie's part time job, she's a licensed dietician! But her passion and knowledge about the Old Waialua Sugar Mill made us think she's been working there for years and likely related to the owners. We tasted the coffee even though neither of us drink it and we tasted the chocolate. We bought a little bit of each. We definitely recommend visiting. And we definitely recommend asking for Je

Very cool to see here, just as shown in the TV show Lost. Lots to see inside, kinda like a small market. Once in awhile there is also a Farmers Market. Coffee is fabulous!
