Old Tyme Grill & Buffet

I hadn’t been here in a few months but the food was not good. The macaroni and cheese was mushy it had too much cheese soft noodles and no taste it was bland. The cabbage was sautéed but had no taste it was missing the onion and bell pepper flavor the bourbon chicken taste charred the greens were ok they were made with Turkey legs but that wasn’t enough it needed more seasoning the yams are out the can nothing added to them I wanted a soul food meal on a Sunday this definitely was not it! The waitress was nice and polite very attentive and the price was normal but overall not worth the price.

UPDATE 2/28/2026! Today I went back to Old Tyme sine I had such a great experience on Valentine’s Day unfortunately my experience was a complete opposite. We went to celebrate my brother’s retirement for brunch. The person/attendant for the tables we occupied wasn’t having a great day and her facial features as well as the very few words she spoke was truly offensive I took it personal along with others that were in my family. I made sure I spoke with the cashier while exiting. One of the most valuable employee is the attendant in a restaurant of any kind and unfortunately this time Old Tyme didn’t pass due to one nasty attitude. Yes we all have bad days but we can’t take it to work with us. February 28th 2026 On Valentine Day 7 of us went to Brunch. No one complained about the food. I had

Food isn't that good. More pork than anything. No steaks. The food lacks flavor. I only enjoyed the Chinese food. I miss Golden Corral that used to be right there. The restaurant looks exactly the same. I would say go try it and give your own review. Majority of my food went in the trash, sadly. Drink tasted more like carbonated water and fries tasted like they were cooked in old cooking oil. I literally spit out the carrot cake. The dinner rolls were hard and dense. Everything needed help. Great customer service.

Jackie was amazing its been hard and i couldnt really take care of her that evening and even though she gave great service and went above!! She has a saying are you full? Are you happy? Then that all that matters i did my job!! Keep it up my love!!

Quiana was an absolutely wonderful server. She was attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming. There was REAL catfish on the buffet. The crab salad was the best I’ve ever had. The mac and cheese was chef’s kiss. I just wish they had pizza and steak, even for just one day a week.
