Old City Cafe & Grill

I had dinner by myself here and absolutely enjoyed my experience. It is a very cozy inviting atmosphere. This place was recommended to me so you know you always walk in with some expectation and my expectations were surpassed. My pictures aren’t the best because I started eating the second the food arrived and forgot to let me camera eat first haha! BUT trust me the food was delicious, everything very fresh and flavorful! The staff is very kind and attentive. The owner was present and seeing how he interacts with all of his patrons you can tell he takes pride in what he does! Visiting the area and I always order Lebanese food the first night. Was not disappointed and absolutely inhaled this dinner. The shish tawook was juicy, flavorful and had great spice, tabouleh was some of the best I've had, fresh and perfectly seasoned (not too salty, not too lemony). The rest of it was just perfect and don't get me started on that pistachio ricotta dessert because I'm going to be thinking about that probably for the rest of my life. Excited for leftovers!

Absolutely amazing! Old City Cafe and Grill in Cranford is one of our favorite local spots. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. We especially love the spicy shish tawook chicken, tabouli, and spinach pies — each one is perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious! There’s something for everyone including our vegetarian friends. The staff is warm, welcoming, and truly make you feel like family every time you visit. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, perfect whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a nice meal. I recommend going with a group and sharing multiple dishes. The pita bread was warm. The falafel was okay, I'd skip the salad and rice with it. The other dips were average tasting to slightly stale. The food surely could be better. Nice looking interiors.

Portions are big, food is fresh and tasty, variety of vegetarian options, authentic atmosphere and very friendly personnel.
