Who would have thought that in this tiny country town that one would find such a great little restaurant! We walked in and it was crowded with two very large parties going on at the same time. The waitress told us about seating upstairs so upstairs we went thinking we were in for a long wait. But no, she came up directly to take our drink orders and our food order after she brought our drinks up to us. We. Waited but not overly long. My husband’s mushroom burger was delicious (he said) and the onion rings were perfect (yes I tried it). My steak quesadilla was also delicious and all was reasonably priced
This place was terrific. The waitstaff were very attentive. We were staying at the Copper Breaks State park to see the Perseids Meteor shower over night and needed a place to eat. We hit the jackpot. Chips and salsa were yummy and so were the jalapeño poppers. Chicken fried steak and sides were delicious. If we are ever back in this area we'll definitely come back.
Had a great Chicken Fried Steak. The atmosphere was inviting. Stop in and check it out.
We stopped here on a Thursday for dinner en route to the Metroplex. It's a cool spot with a nice vibe. Definitely get the small town experience seeing the neighbors interact, but still get the same warm welcome as travelers. The food was great. We started with the stuffed jalapenos and I had the hamburger steak with the cowboy potato and green beans while my partner went with the chicken fried steak with cowboy potato and corn. Everything was fresh and had home-cooked nostalgic flavors. The toast especially had those childhood memories coming back, tasted like grandma used to make. We just had water because the travel but they do have a full bar. The only issue we had was with service. The waitress was very new and seemed flustered as it got busier. The menu says the entrees come with tw
This place is absolutely amazing! I had the shrimp skewers, a top shelf margarita, the fired cheese sticks and sampled the artichoke and spinach dip. I finished with a sopapilla cheesecake. I found everything scrumptious! (Especially the fired okra, extra crisp and delicious). Can’t go wrong here!
