Olcott Lobster Company

I've had lobster all up and down the maine coast, stood in line for two hours at one of the most popular spots for lobster rolls, but the lobster rolls at Olcott Lobster were every bit as good and worth the wait. The location near the lake is pleasant and scenic especially on a sunny day. The staff were friendly and generous making the whole visit worth while. The lobster roll flight was excellent. I really liked the spicy roll, but the other 2 were just as good. The lobster bisque was to die for. Large chunks of real honest to goodness claw meat, not some shaved down and minced replica of lobster that other places serve. I will be back many times.

I heard the hype and had to check it out. They were an hour late opening due to equipment issues so I waited. It was worth it. I ordered the Lobster Roll Flight for me and the Connecticut Roll to take home to my wife. I wanted to try the different varieties. The New England Roll was excellent with just a little of the chive mayo. The Olcott Fire Roll was very spicy which is great on chicken wings but I wanted to taste lobster. I've had Duff's Death wings so spicy is not an issue. To me the clear winner was the Connecticut Roll. Just sweet lobster meat with a little melted butter. I'll be back to try some of their other dishes.

A hidden gem…. 💎 very friendly staff, DELICIOUS food and a wonderful laid back atmosphere!! Staff: friendly, patient, informative and oh for the service!! ♥️ Food: NO words, just go and try it! You will enjoy!! (and leave full) 🦞 Bartender knows how to mix a slushie!! 🍹 Atmosphere: outdoor casual, soft music and a wonderful vibe!! SO worth the enjoyable drive to get here! Do it!!!

Couldn't wait to try the lobster rolls here! My first visit was on a Friday, just after noon to try to beat the line. Walked right in and ordered and had my lunch within 10 minutes. I got the flight, minus the spicy Olcott Fire Roll (took two Connecticut’s instead), and loved every bite. Had a side of Old Bay chips and a Ryl and it was a perfect meal. 9 ounces is a lot of lobster! Service was friendly and with a smile. Limited wait time and fantastic lunch. I recommend the flight, and going on a weekday to beat the crowds. Truly looking forward to a second visit next week.

My wife, daughter, and I drove up to Olcott Lobster Company for the first time yesterday. It was a nice 40 minute ride up there on a beautiful late summer day! We found parking and joined the very active line which moved along steadily. A pleasant young staff member brought out copies of the menu for us to look over prior to ordering. We waited in line for 30-35 minutes before placing our order. We were given “beeper” device and found a table on the back patio area. The 15-20 minutes for our order to come out passed quickly as we chatted and listened to a really nice pane that was playing on the corner, so visitors on both patios could hear.
