Ol' Ironsides Barbecue and Banquet Hall

We drove almost a hundred miles to celebrate a 65th birthday for Doug. We wanted an adventure, and to make a memory, and oooo that dream came true. Totally worth the drive. FOOD was fantastic. Joyful atmosphere. Owner came and visited and celebrated with us. Cook and weight staff were magnificent.Everything is homemade. Don't s kimp on the cheesecake for dessert.

I wish this was a five star review but unfortunately the food here is not good. We tried the following things: BBQ sandwich Curly fries BBQ tacos Smoked chicken wings Onion rings Corn dogs Philly Of the things we had, the things that were good were the corn dogs and curly fries. The onion rings were fine—nothing to write home to mom about. Oh also, the bread that the sandwiches were on was very good. To the saddest part of the review: all the BBQ meat that we had was not good at all. Maybe the driest BBQ meat I’ve ever had—the wings and the meat on the BBQ sandwich. I ordered brisket on my sandwich and thought they made a mistake and gave me pulled pork because I’ve never seen brisket pulled like they had it. My first time at this eatery and it won't be the last. We had a party of eight and everything we tried was super good. The amount of food you get for your money is more than fair. The ambiance is as it should be for a BBQ joint and is made even more so by the attentive and personable service provided by the staff. Definitely coming back. You should give it a try!!

This is the kind of place that you get lost on a road trip and discover as a hidden gem. The food is high quality and reasonably priced. The service is top notch and FAST. Great selection of food, drinks, and cocktails. A highlight is anything fried is cooked in beef tallow. This is a spot that once you visit once, you won't be able to come back to soon enough. My sincerest compliments.

Lunch specials are a good price! Got a half serving of BBQ nachos on fries. So delicious and filling. Half will feed 2! Definitely going back.
