Oh Mai South Jordan

I love going to Oh Mai. One of the best dishes to enjoy. I have been a customer with them for many many years and often go to their locations in South Salt Lake and Salt Lake City. I went in to their South Jordan location and ordered their P.5 - Ribeye & Brisket Pho and on the menu board behind the cash register they have the prices listed as $12.99. I ordered it and was charged $15.46 after tax (before tax $14.25) on my receipt. I thought maybe they made a mistake on the charge so I asked the sweet lady who charged me about the price error. Her reply was that the prices on the menu board are 10 years old and the prices of things have increased. I felt bamboozled by the false advertisement of the price on the menu board. I hope they can have one of their employees take some time to help p

Ordered the brisket pho. No flavor at all. Brisket tough as jerky. Called and the person said no one else has complained. Very rude. I would not waste time calling to report food that even tasted half good. Just wasted $50 on 3 orders of subpar pho.

I felt like I had to do a review because there is an ethical issue that just came up. Many of my friends and co-workers who live and work in the area around this Oh Mai, have noticed that the cashier is showing one price and then adding tip on top without input from the customer. Myself and numerous friends enjoy the food, but my boss just said that we can't purchase food there anymore on work cards due to billing discrepancy. It is truly disappointing that a business I hope will stay around is losing customers due to an unethical practice. Please stop doing this before you get reported to the Better Business Bureau.

Unfortunately this was a disappointing meal. The fresh rolls were tiny and barely had anything in them. The rice paper also was very chewy meaning it was not freshly made. The pork vermicelli while having a ton of pork it was also very chewy like it had been marinating for too long. It was also very sweet. The pho while having good flavor was not very rich it tasted watered down. We prefer cafe Trang so far.

I bought my wife a sandwich and it was her first time trying a Banh Mi. She loved it and said that the flavors were perfectly balanced. You’ll need to try the Honey Glazed Pork (S2). You can tell they use fresh high quality ingredients. We will be back with the whole family.
