Off The Hook Restaurant and Bar

This year, 2026, we’ll attempt to celebrate each and every 365 National Day- and Jan 1 celebrates (among other things) the Bloody Mary. Off the Hook was listed as one of “New Jersey’s 11 best spots for the ultimate Bloody Mary” by NJ 101.5 Radio and it did not disappoint! Generous drink, spicy and delicious. Food was very good also, with outstanding blackened chicken. We saved room for a tasty slice of peppermint cheese cake. Accessible restaurant, welcoming and attentive staff. Excellent prices, generous portions.

Came here after a day at the beach. This was a perfect way to finish the day. The place was busy, but service was prompt, cheerful and courteous. The food was good. The tuna bites were a little over, but not terrible. Everything else was perfect with a good spice level just right. Definitely try the red sangria. It was a refreshing beverage to compliment the meal. There is an outdoor terrace with lots of seating and inside tables by the bar with lots of TVs playing sports, but nothing too loud, so you can still have a conversation over dinner.

Great place to stop after the beach. Nice selection of cocktails and draft beers. The food is quite good and the service is usually excellent. Indoor and outdoor seating with ocean views. We enjoy the crab dip and the lobster salad Plenty of free parking

Honestly didn’t love this place. The food was mediocre. Theres a live band on the weekends and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. The service is prompt and there’s a view of the ocean. Order the short ribs sandwich. That’s the only thing anyone enjoyed on the menu. The lobster bisque is runny and lacks lobster. The mahi tacos are underwhelming. For the clams you get only 8. The crab dip was a good starter and the bread is warm soft. We won’t be returning.

I love going here. It is handicapped friendly which is important for me. You can sit inside or outside. Food is so good! The view it wonderful even on a rainy day. From simply burger to seafood. You will never be sorry if you try anything on the menu. Service is great! They make sure you are happy with everything. Wonderful place to celebrate a birthday or any special occasion. You will be glad you did.
