Off The Hook at Inlet Harbor

We had a good meal at Off the Hook. The house smoked brisket was great and served in a taco worked well. The trigger fish was cooked perfectly and seasoned just enough so it was not too spicy. Our waitress was great and was there right when we needed her. My only criticism is that the hostess was moving a bit slow and had an attitude. There were at least 6 clean tables open, no line, and she was very slow to get people seated. The band was good and was at a great volume to create a good energy but still allow people to enjoy their conversations.

We love Off Th Hook! The people who work here and the people who come to enjoy it are always great. The crab and shrimp dip was tasty yesterday! I normally enjoy the seafood cavatapi or crawfish etouffee. Their fresh oysters are always a nice treat too. The seating is plentiful, whether you sit at the huge outdoor bar or one of the tables that sits beneath a shade covering, the water views are beautiful. Live entertainment Friday-Sunday is iffy. Yesterday's singer sounded like he was battling with a severe throat illness, but it was still fun background noise.

It's hard to rate this restaurant because the views are outstanding. They could almost just serve beer and be set! I ordered the fried flounder and it came with three generous pieces on my sandwich at $16. However, if you pay $25 in cash for your order, you get a free half pound of shrimp. That's a deal! Let's talk about the real deal here which is that gorgeous intercoastal view sitting right on the water. As the birds swoop by hoping that you drop a fry, you can easily look them in the eye and let them know that you're not sharing. Share one you share all so they will gang up on you. Great restaurant right on the water. We started with the shrimp and crab dip which was awesome. We had it gone in 5 minutes. I ordered the oyster po boy which was really good, but a tad small. If you are coming by boat around lunch time on the weekend, be prepared to wait for a spot to open. There are not a lot of spaces because the fueling station reserves at least 2. Including ours, about 5 or 6 boats is all that could realistically aqueeze into spots on the dock.

I was visiting Florida for the first time and my friends took me here for a local seafood experience. They have done great. The spot was amazing and the food was very tasteful. The lighthouse and history sourrounding it unique. A small nature trail nearby through a coastal hammock offered a unique look into the inlet vegegation and fauna.
