Off the Deep Inn

My wife and I stayed three nights for Miatas at the gap 2016. Nice close proximity to Fontana Village, Tail of the Dragon, and the Cherohala Skyway. Beautiful area to visit with great roads to drive or ride. |The cabins seem newer, and are clean yet small and minimal. These are not the "log cabins in the mountains" you may initially think of when your heading to these parts. What they are is a clean air conditioned and heated place to call base camp on a visit. Our cabin (#1) had a queen bed, a twin bed, a large bathroom, microwave, mini fridge, flat screen TV with satellite, and some wifi- they were having problems with utilities I believe from a prior storm. The owner here is top notch. This place is unique in that the cabins are very small, but for me, a traveler from the city that had a car event in the area for the weekend, it is a perfect place. If you just needed a place to sleep, shower, relax...this is it. Very clean and new, too. Some cabins have little decks and high ceilings. Can't beat it for the price.

We booked cabin # 4 for two nights...and it was wonderful! Very clean, roomy and the back porch was the best. Sitting outside in the mornings for coffee was very quiet and enjoyable, then late in the afternoon after a day of riding the sunset was very nice! The drive way is rocks, a little tricky, but they are working on that....The owners, Randal and Becky Yates were super nice. Will be staying here next year for sure!!

My girlfriend an I spent a weekend here, and it was GREAT! Very friendly owners, and will do anything to make you happy! Perfect little cabins with COLD AC, and a nice flatscreen TV. Free firewood for the fire pit. We even grilled out on their little iron grills out in front of our cabin. Wonderful experience, and would definitely recommend! Oh, and it's only a few minutes from Deals Gap!

Owner was waiting for us when we arrived and was extremely friendly! Cabin was small but very comfortable and very clean! Had a nice back porch to sit and enjoy the scenery! Fire pit was great for a nice campfire after dark! Cabin had small fridge and microwave and there were grills outside for cooking. This was so much nicer than a hotel and the price was great! Just wish we could've stayed more than one night. We are already planning to return next year and stay here!!
