Oconto Dockside

Been here many many times. Its in my home town and known well so decided to finally write a review. We have a work christmas party here every year. This year it was a little weird having our group split up even though they had room. Not a huge deal, but noticeable. Service was great. Our waitress delt with our big group with ease and made sure all our needs were met. Clean and roomy atmosphere. Food was served pretty quick for a sit down meal. When it comes down to menu we were frustrated yet again because they were out of so many things. Seems to happen often. What we did get was cooked exactly how we wanted and super yummy. Their new Potatoe Croquets at to die for. I could eat a whole plate of just those. An added plus that was a cherry on top, they gave us an extra piece of Key Lime P

Love the bartenders here! They’re not only funny and entertaining, but extremely knowledgeable and great at what they do. You can tell they genuinely enjoy their jobs, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s always a must-stop whenever I’m in the area because the atmosphere is welcoming, lively, and just plain fun. The food is amazing as well. Every dish is beautifully presented, made with care, and the portions are generous—definitely leaving you satisfied. You can tell quality and consistency matter here, which is hard to find these days. From drinks to food to service, this place really delivers every time. Easily one of the best spots in Oconto. If you’re local or just passing through, this place should be at the top of your list.

The dining room was so pretty at this time of year, with the wreaths, Christmas trees and decorations. The menu offers appetizers, entrees are hamburgers, steaks, fish and a delicious clam chowder.

What a gem of a small-town spot! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was quiet, welcoming, and just plain comfortable. The food, drinks, and service were all excellent on our first visit—everything was clearly made with care. What really set this place apart, though, was coming back a second time with fish we had caught ourselves. They cooked it up and served it family-style, and it was absolutely delicious. A truly special experience you don’t find just anywhere. We will definitely be back!

We did kayak trip through Oconto and finished up with a dinner at the Dockside. Both of us were very pleased at how good the meal was. There is also a separate bar area with some dining table. However, we chose the main dining room. It was comfy and cozy.
