Ocoee Riverside Farm

My girlfriend is a sloth lover so I booked a trip for the sloth keeper experience, but there is so much more than that. We stayed in the Chuck wagon, it was an amazing and different experience from any glamping we’ve done before. The shower room had no expense spared from the Bluetooth speaker exhaust fan, to a ceiling heat lamp to stay warm coming out of the walk in shower. The location of their property offers beautiful scenic views of the river just feet away on one side and zebras frolicking in a pasture on the opposite side. I first saw ORF on tiktok and that it looked great so I went on their website and started setting up our trip for Valentines weekend. After a few website glitches, which I realized later, was just location location location. They are located out away from the busy life that a lot of people are used to and that’s just one reason to take your family. Everyone we met was friendly and focused on making sure the animals were taken care of and guests understood the processes required for each of their critters. My husband booked our visit as a gift for me and we had a great time. It was not hard to find with our GPS and signs leading you where to go when you arrive at the gate. We did a kangaroo encounter, farm tour and sloth cuddles. I loved getting to see the adult kangaroos up close, and some extra time with the babies. The farm tour was fun and we got to feed most of the outdoor animals. We actually have our own small farm but I still love to see other goats and pigs, and we got to pet and hold so many animals I never expected to! It was way more than your average petting zoo or farm experience. My family was so fortunate to be able to spend time at Ocoee Riverside Farm this Thanksgiving. We stayed in the Sloth Suite (formerly the Camel Condo). The thing that makes this really special is that there is a sloth enclosure that extends up from the barn that houses “Flash” the sloth, who actually is very entertaining, and windows in the floor that allow you to see into the barn where you can watch a baby camel and baby kangaroos. This place had plenty of room for my family of 10. The children especially enjoyed all the games, PlayStation, oculus, and tv’s in every one. Ocoee Riverside Farm is an absolute gem! The setting is beautiful and peaceful, and you can really feel the care and passion that goes into everything they do. The farm is well-maintained, welcoming, and a wonderful place to slow down and reconnect with nature. The staff/owners are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to share their love for the land. Whether you’re visiting for the experience, the highland cows, kangaroos, sloths,or just to enjoy the scenery, this place offers something special.
