Ocean County Library, Jackson Branch

Beautiful park with baseball, football and soccer fields! Also a huge wooden jungle Jim. Police station and library on the same land!! Great place to walk ur dog!!

The library has plenty of parking and it was an absolute joy to visit. The Ocean County Library, Jackson Branch, is like an awesome place to learn, explore, and hang out with your authors. They've got a massive collection of books, DVDs, and audiobooks for all ages. The librarians are friendly and will help you find new stuff to read, whether you're into physical books or e-books. There are also a bunch of quiet areas where you can study or work. And if you need a laptop, they've got a few you can use. They even have charging stations for your phone, which is super convenient. The library also hosts a bunch of events for all ages. Their latest event is a chocolate-covered pretzel-making workshop. It's perfect for Valentine's Day! While my toddler was playing on the kids computer, I put my not yet walking baby to play with the baby toys that the library so graciously provides. An attendant from the library told me my baby can't play cause he doesn't have shoes!? WHY WOULD A BABY THAT DOESN'T WALK NEED TO WEAR SHOES?🤔 Library though is a beautiful big building with all the amenities that the best libraries have. Most worker are usually very kind. Hope to have better experiences in the future.

Ocean County Library can't be beat! Such an incredible library system. (We have cards in Monmouth and Burlington as well and those facilities can't compare with OCL.) While Jackson is a great branch, there are a few that we prefer over it for book quality and availability of programs.
