Occidental Union Hotel Restaurant

A great spot with lots of history in the charming town of Occidental. Grab a drink at the bar or a dinner in one of the two ballrooms and you'll be glad you did. The Christmas decor was festive and the wonderful 15 foot Christmas trees stole the show.

I have been coming here for about 20 years and have enjoyed it every time. I have always been greeted with such a welcoming and loving spirit, making our eating experience joyful. It feels like you're with family. As far as the food goes, the bread-sticks are delicious and a meal of themselves! But you can't miss out on their pizza. Best crust ever! Plus they never skip on the toppings. This pizza is garuanteed to leave you full and satisfied. I highly recommend you spend a warm afternoon evening on their patio after a morning at the river. Don't skip this gem!

Our New Favorite Restaurant 🍕🍝❤️ The food was out of this world good (down to the soup and breadsticks) and came out promptly. It really felt like eating the best home cooked meal your grandma ever made. The ambiance of the courtyard at sunset was so charming and romantic, but what really makes this place special is the high quality of service! Barbara made sure our bread basket and drinks stayed full, and she sat with us to tell us stories and the history of the lovely town of Occidental. She made a great evening even more special. We will absolutely be coming back and bringing friends and family!!

Waitress was great, beer was great and love the atmosphere but we were baffled by the pizza. Minuscule amount of flavorless tomato sauce and then basically an inch thick of toppings. You think that sounds good until there's equal canned pineapple to dough ratio and no tomato sauce. Just kept picturing a drunk boss making this I don't know why.
