O'Cairns Bistro

Local resident’s review. I’ve been feeling sick all week and today I didn’t even want to go outside nor grocery shopping but I was hungry and decided to call around to see if places were making soup. When I called the O’Cairns, at first they said sorry no soup until maybe this weekend. I wasn’t too worried but I must have sounded a little bummed on the phone and that’s when I heard the chef through the phone say…tell em I’ll make them the soup and it’ll be ready in 30. The chef got on the phone and I told him I’d been sick for a few days and if it’s no trouble I would take like 2 bowls. He asked what room I was in and I said that I live down the street and so they took my number and said they would call when it was ready. I drove down to pick it up and it made my whole week. Perfect place to get a bite to eat if you're staying at the O'Cairn's Inn and Suites -- or even if you're not. The place feels welcoming, the service is very friendly and attentive, and the food is great. We had the chicken Caesar salad, which had warm, tender chicken, and a cheeseburger with onion rings - both were excellent. We were both very happy. There's also a small bar area.

This place is a hidden gem. Now open to the public, you need to go give it a try. Quality ingredients, top notch chef, 2nd to none customer service, plus activities to keep you and your kids occupied. Pool, shuffle board, fooseball, TV, & a bar. The Ocairns burger is amazing. Their breakfast is awesome. Probably my new favorite spot to be in Lompoc. 2 thumbs up & 5 stars.

I got food for pick-up and almost forgot to pay! They had a great sense of humor about it. Nice people and decent food for the price.

My husband and I recently ate here 2x while staying at the Inn/Suites, and were more than pleasantly surprised - especially because we may have overlooked it if it weren't for the (already awesome) fact that staying included a couple of complimentary drinks and breakfast. Sonny was holding down the fort by himself on Friday night and doing a fantastic job while also still being exceptionally kind; Brett was our server in the AM and was attentive, engaged, and chatted with us about our stay (while still doing a great job with the rest of the room). The food was quite good (the chicken sandwich was stellar) as were the drinks, and we couldn't believe the value for the visit. This cute, quaint little place off the beaten Lompoc path is very much worth a stop for grub even if not staying at
