Small library, but if you utilize the online catalog you can have books sent from other locations to be picked up at this branch. Very convenient. They also have a Lucky Day section where extra copies of popular books are located that cannot be reserved through the hold system. Sometimes you'll get lucky browsing it and find items that otherwise would've taken weeks or months to get.
Nice small place. As this is part of the OCPL, if you get your card here you get access to Libby, Hoopla, Kanopy + tons of other digital services.
This library is actually a good library except it gets noisy and unfortunately the staff is to nice to tell people to keep it down. Earlier I had some guy flipping newspapers near my face, there was a woman by the computers talking, some guy other guy behind working at the table slamming all his stuff left and right. It’s a small good library, with the exception of the noise. I like peace and quiet, libraries were once predicated on that and I’ve been to some which have quiet rooms to try and keep disturbances to a minimum. It is really sad people lack consideration and general kindness and intelligence enough to keep themselves silent when there are people trying to relax and concentrate
Friendly and willing to help. They helped me track down a book series I read long ago and wanted to reread. They also have a cute kids corner and are doing storytime. Updated review 11/12/24- still friendly and helpful. Storytime on Tuesdays, toddler play time on Thursday and family movie on Saturday.
Although this is a small library, they seem to have a great summer reading program for kids because I see a lot of activity and excitement with the youth which I think is awesome. I've been coming in daily for about a month and I've experienced the resources the library offers. They serve a diverse community. Unfortunately, I have to say the staff and/or volunteers are not friendly. They often do not make eye contact with visitors, do not acknowledge people coming in and out, and they rarely smile. If you ask them a direct question they are helpful. Otherwise, try getting a friendly smile or a greeting and you'll be out of luck I'm sorry to say. One may be put off by this but it's still worth visiting the library.
