What an cute and quaint library that I found along my travels! I called before arriving to ensure that a traveler would be able to use a desktop. I spoke with Courtney whom advised that they do have desktops available and did provide the hours which for a Saturday are 10am -2pm. This works perfectly for me as I am needing to get caught up on posting my travels! Taking care of some business and just having a nice quite place to feel safe! The library is full of vibrant tapestry's pictures and books! For it being a bit smaller I was shocked at how busy this library is. So many amazing books to explore. There are 5 computers to be used and quite a few work spaces. You are able to print and fax as well. Super cozy and location is perfect you will have to look for the Library sign on the r
The Oakhurst Library is such a gem, especially for families with kids. The children’s section is welcoming and full of great books, and the staff are always kind and helpful. What makes it even better is that if they don’t have a book on hand, they can order from a huge library network—so you’re never limited. It’s a wonderful place to spark a love of reading. Highly recommend!
Staff are really nice and helpful. Its always clean and quiet. We are lucky to have this wonderful library in the mtns
I need to do a bit of work and as I visited the North Forks Library the day before, I decided to give Oakhurst a try. The library is located near the main shopping area of Oakhurst. The librarian immediately greeted me as I entered. The WIFI was fast and I easily connected my laptop and worked for a few hours. The library was pretty quiet while still fairly busy. I did need to print a few documents which was super easy and very cheap. I didn't need to use a library computer - printing can be done with your own laptop. Before leaving, I checked out the stacks and happily noticed many new books, diverse authors, and a wide selection for all ages. I enjoyed seeing the clear bags for seniors with a variety of themed events such as "game night" available for check out.
First time in the library. Has everything you need there. Cute, cozy, clean, friendly, and helpful.
