NY Chicken & Grill

Totally disappointed and waste of money !! ordered a mix of chicken, and the quality was very disappointing. Out of 5 pieces, only 1 was fresh, juicy, and tasted good. The other 4 pieces were completely different—hard, rubbery, extremely oily, and tasted like they had been fried 2–3 times. They did not seem fresh at all, almost like they were from the previous day and just reheated. The leg pieces especially were so oily that they clearly had absorbed too much oil from being refried. On top of that, the chicken was overly salty and difficult to eat. Honestly, I couldn’t even finish 2 pieces and ended up taking the rest home, but I still couldn’t eat them. It feels like they only add 1–2 fresh pieces in each order to make it look good, while the majority of the chicken is old and reheate

This restaurant serves fried chicken, fried fish, grinders, sandwiches and Halal. It is definitely comfort food. Everything looks clean. You have the option of dining in or taking out. There is a public bathroom on the premises. You have to get a key from staff. Please be careful when it comes time for payment. The owner is known to over charge you if you are not paying close attention. Consider yourself warned.

Food and taste was normal. The chicken pcs seems old. Couldn’t take pictures. We Ordered 9 pcs of checkin with fries and biscuits. Instead of full pcs, 3 wings and 1 drum stick was added. Also no biscuits were provided.

The food was okay, could have been better. I ordered the chicken and rice, and when I arrived it was already ready, so they were really fast – which was definitely a big plus. I also don’t drink soda, so I asked to swap it for juice in my combo, and the guy who helped me was super friendly and allowed the change. When I went to pick up my food, he asked if I wanted sauce and was holding a white sauce. I assumed it was the salad dressing, so I said yes. He ended up putting that sauce all over the food, and in my opinion, it ruined the dish because it had a sour taste that didn’t work for me. I ended up throwing away half of my bowl because the flavor was too strong. Overall, I think the service was great, the price was reasonable, but the sauce really ruined the meal for me. Got a 3 piece fried chicken platter that came with rice (or fries), biscuit, a small salad and a 12oz can of soda. It was well cooked everything tasted great. The chicken was perfectly cooked and tasted great, they included hot sauce packets which I appreciated! The biscuit was soft and buttery and had just the right level of moisture and so tasted perfect as is (it didn't need any added butter for flavor or moisture) the salad was a perfect balance to the fried chicken and really rounded out the meal and was a welcome addition. The rice was perfect flavor and texture was on point, it's great as is but I got the white sauce on top the rice as well as the salad and it really kicks it up!
