Customer Reviews
Novel Blends is such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Amazing coffee and a great selection of books. Tom was so personable and heart warming. The Holy Spirit rest here for those looking for a peaceful space to spend studying or connecting with friends.
I came in what to try a new coffee shop, I think the coffee was good but the store was so quiet and empty it had such a weird vibe. No music, no one talking just the hum of the machines behind the bar. When ordering the barista didn’t ask any questions, didn’t talk just looked at us waiting for our order.
Fantastic coffee in a chill ambiance for a decent price! With a list of Seasonal Special Lattes, a diverse coffee menu and delicious snacks from a local Baker, we found it easy to spend an afternoon chatting and sipping in this spot meant for vibes and conversation. It is not intended for a business destination if you're looking to get work done, but take a look at the great selection of books or bring some materials and enjoy the space created to enjoy your Barista-Prepared drink in peace. One Seasonal Latte and a Cappuccino were both enjoyed immensely by my wife and I and we would put it up against any other coffee you can find on this "Downtown" BG strip. Excited to go back and sample more of the baked goods and specialty drinks!
Cozy coffee shop lined with a variety of books, including classics. There are nice, comfortable seats, as well as a large seasonal menu. The lady behind the counter is very sweet and gives helpful insight into the drinks.
I don't want to say this place is bad by any means. But it's weird. Atmosphere is odd and no one said a word to me when I came in. I didn't even see anyone. I felt like I snuck in when they were closed. But was there during business hours. I went for the books more than the coffee. Which was disappointing. When it's half the name you expect more. There's MAYBE 100 books and some have multiple copies. I looked through them in 5 minutes and felt awkward doing so. The books seem like an after thought. There isn't much seating for people to just relax. It's just one giant shared table in the middle.
