NOTL Bar & Restaurant

We decided to try NOTL because we were told it was a sister restaurant to Treadwell, one of our favourite spots in the area (we've been patrons ever since their original St. Catherine's location). The restaurants are pretty much next to each other. Food was good and service was friendly. We had the special seafood risotto, burger, chicken schnitzel, and fish, and all were well done. The portions were all substantial, but some dishes like the risotto were a tad too salty. It was Valentine's Day, so there was live music, which made for nice ambience. Some of the seating in the middle is cozy, but the huge lamps are a bit awkward because unless you're shorter, the lamp shade blocks the people who are sitting opposite you. What an amazing experience! Don’t get the limited menu fool you. They know what they’re doing here! We had Katie as our server on Feb 6 and from beginning to end she was amazing. She was so friendly and so easy to talk to. She was a pleasure. She sat us in one of the nicer tables. Maybe it was because it was my bday dinner? Maybe not, but either way it was much appreciated. My bf and I love to sit beside each other in restos (instead of across each other), so this table was perfect for that. Katie ended up bringing us out some complimentary Prosecco, as she knew we were celebrating my bday. This was such a special touch and made my day. It was delicious by the way! I ended up ordering the daily pasta, which was a pesto ricotta filled ravioli. My bf ordered the chicken schnitzel. Wow.

Niagara on the lake has many beautiful restaurants to sit down to a nice leisure dinner. Last night we discovered this fabulous place tucked away from hustle and bustle of people. NOTL surprised us with the understated atmosphere and a friendly staff. Our server Owen made sure we were properly looked after, he went above and beyond his regular tasks. He has a very kind manner with an eye for detail. Our food was excellent, we ordered a few shareables for our dinner. It was a great experience. The space is well managed, tables are far apart and clean with simple decorations. I can’t wait to return!

Simply amazing! The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. Our server, Katie was super friendly and gave us great service. Made our date night special, and we’ll be back again.

Unreal. What a phenomenal gem!!! They had a live pianist which was so beautiful. My boyfriend ordered the burger and I had the salmon which they were able to accommodate as gluten free and dairy free. Best fries in town and our cocktails were also incredible - the starry night and espresso martini.
