Northwood Inn

This place was super cute and i really wanted to love it. Unfortunately the good experience ended at the decor. There were only 5 people in the place when we arrived and it took over an hour for us to get our food. We didn’t even get bread for 45 minutes. I had the beef goulash and it was tasteless and unseasoned. The potato pancake was a rubber disc that soaked up so much oil it wouldn’t even break apart when prodded with my fork. My fiance had the steak sandwich that was also unseasoned and tasted like the meat was about to turn. When the bartender asked about our meal we told him it was terrible and he said ok and handed us the check. Definitely a memorable experience for all the wrong reasons.

I just had lunch here and thoroughly enjoyed it. It has a cozy "tavern-like" interior, very friendly service and the food was incredible. Will definitely be going back.

It isn’t fancy but they do have Excellent food and a relatively large menu. Most of the main courses are under $20 but the high end specialties are up to $25. So it’s a good deal in today’s environment. The fillet was a nice size and perfectly cooked. The cod came with 6 shrimp. The goulash was excellent. Desert was good. Try the chocolate brownie or the carrot cake. The one downside: service was - how can I say this - leisurely. Don’t go if you are in a rush.

I’ve been coming here for years. They have great specials, amazing food and a very good special bar menu. The owner and workers are great people! Wednesdays are buy one burger get one half off, and Thursday is prime rib. Also they have other specials on a board for the full week.

Take out Fish and chips filet looked nice but inside fish was mushy - kind of starchy, no idea how they managed that, worse piece of fish I've ever had - into the trash it went !
