Northside Library

The library is beautiful, the teen room is great and the kids space as well. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Also, the programs are wonderful!! They put so much hard work into the Renaissance Fair this year!! It was so lovely to learn and craft and have fun and for all of it to be free!! The decorations were wonderful!! We loved it! Thank you volunteers and librarians 😍👏❤️

I love my library. The staff is helpful. The system is efficient. There are spots to isolate and read or work. Rooms are available to reserve and schedule for various sized gatherings. And they often have artists work on display in their hallway; generally local artisans.

No one is begging me to stay in Charlottesville, VA (my Kroger check was stolen at the Haven, I can't get cash at several ATM around town); and, no one is intimidating me to stay either. So, send back the papers. My Jamaican pension will see me through. It's not yours. By the way, has anyone seen my W2? WOW!! I got my W2, at 7:23 am on Monday March 2, 2026.

I recently moved to the area and after using this library for several months, can confirm it's a gem! The drive-up pickup / return is super easy! The facility itself is fantastic. Recently I've been tutoring and the conference rooms are a fantastic resource. Having a private space with a large monitor makes completing our lessons easy and we don't disturb others with talking / watching lessons. To a person, the team at Northside is warm and welcoming to the community!

Lovely little library with a lot of resources. There’s rooms for little kids and teens, as well as a great section for adults. My favorite section is the manga collection, containing many different series’ ranging from old classics to newer trending ones. Events regularly happen for a diverse range of age groups and interests. The nice thing about Northside is that even if they don’t have a specific book, they can borrow it from other JMRL (Jefferson-Madison Regional Library) libraries if available.
