The lady that worked up front gave my toddler a coloring book and some toys to play with before, we started ordering. That was very kind of her and made the wait time for food easier on my toddler. When ordering, I asked for a side of ham to go with my toddlers food. The lady asked if I wanted that cut up. I had asked if they could if they weren't busy otherwise I can cut it up that's no problem at all. The cook cut the ham into smaller cube size peices for him to be able to eat. I though that was very sweet. In fact, we didn't wait that long for food. The food was absolutly, delicious! Homade food is well worth the money spent! The prices are reasonable as well. We will be back again.

We popped in for a lunch while heading into town during our vacation in Birchwood. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious with healthy portions. I had a cheeseburger which was freshly hand pattied and seasoned well. The fries were perfect. I also had a cup of the chicken dumpling soup which I highly recommend. My husband got the cinnamon roll pancakes and said they were wonderful. The waitress was friendly and helpful. My only critique is that when we walked in the waitress made eye contact with us, but didn't acknowledge us. This in itself is not a big deal, but there were only 2 other tables at the time, and we sat there for awhile before she even acknowledged we were there. A small town eatery that serves up big time flavor. I ordered the Northside burger pulled HIGH with pulled pork on top. Truthfully, I could have done without the pulled pork, but that’s just a me thing. However, this burger was FANTASTIC. Cooked perfectly medium rare. Flavorful and juicy. One of the best burgers in the area I have had.

We loved it! And the homemade bread was a delicious touch. This was our first time in since they opened and we were delighted to see the life brought back into a classic café of the area. The 50s flare was really fun and we loved to see that most (if not all) of the seats were filled by patrons. The hot chocolate was delicious as was all the food. Great things are happening here!

Was there tonight for the rib and chicken that's their Saturday special. Got there at 6 pm and was informed they were already out of white meat, so I ordered just a full rack of ribs . When it came out the dinner roll was dry, the ribs were plastered in BBQ sauce and the meat was way over cooked. Almost like chewing on a leather boot, the green beans were also gross. Best thing on my plate was the french fries.
