North Suffolk Library

The library is beautiful. Quaint and comfortable will an overall warm vibe. They recently hosted the Master Gardeners' seed swap and it was a phenomenal event! Especially on a frigid Saturday!!!

There is a wide selection of books and very convenient (and fast) options for getting books transferred from other libraries. Every employee I’ve spoken with has been friendly and helpful as well. The family story time is always fun for the kids and the children’s section is always clean and the books are well organized. We love this library! ETA—Mr. Kelvin’s story time is unmatched and the kids (and adults) enjoy it immensely. His easygoing nature and inclusion of music keeps our son engaged and learning. I would absolutely recommend for anyone with young kids!!

My family was stationed here on military orders for 3 years. Shortly after moving here, I found out about the Baby & Tiny Tots story time at the N. Suffolk library. After time, we moved up to the Toddler & Preschool story time. Mr. Kelvin is quite literally the perfect human being to lead classes like those and we enjoyed our time there every Thursday! What a phenomenal staff all around but definitely want to shout out Mr. Kelvin. I always told him he’s “our local version of Ms.Rachel”, I mean that in the best way. Excellent location, I would 100% recommend checking out the classes for you and your little one if you’re local! 🥰

6/2024 - layout has desks in back which does not seem to have much access to outlets. Very fast internet. North Suffolk library is very nice. [Open @ 10am] Fast internet yet login is required. If login screen does not appear then may have to "add exception" within browser or type 1.1.1.1 into browser to get exceptions page to appear. Then click accept for access. Nice staff yet PATRONS typically RUDELY HAVE PHONE CONVERSIONS...also food and drinks are allowed within library. Seems more Starbucks than the libraries of old.

Moving from Yorktown I was excited to have what looked like a large library in the neighborhood again but this location leaves a lot to be desired. Very few desks and only 2 are near an outlet wish there was more study areas or an area with white boards like Yorktown library. The library looks new but the inside looks old. At least the WiFi is fast and the bathroom is clean.
