North Shore Library

It is absolutely crazy how this specific location likes to nickle and dime on the fees. It does not make sense to add a fee for not picking up a book! It was the principle not the cost because it was low. I should not be charged for it at all. They wonder why no one likes to go to the library anymore.

I had a card here for many years. I returned a book during a horrific snow storm so they were closed, and I wanted to return it on time, so I put it in the book drop. Several months later I was informed the book had water damage and I had to pay for a brand new book. I know I returned it ok, and I asked for proof. They had thrown the book and they had no proof! They never notified me, although they claimed they had sent me an email. I never received it, not any notification by phone or mail about it. I was going to give the library a donation, but now I have decided to give it to a more reputable organization. I would not recommend this place.

I visit frequently with my toddler, and we love it! The kids section has a great selection of board books as well as a train table and Lego table. They also offer great reading programs for kids and other fun activities. My daughter likes story time and picking out stickers from the desk. The staff is very friendly too! I also love the library for myself. The app is great for looking up books and requesting books from other libraries. All of the text and email alerts are so helpful for returning/renewing books on time.

It was super easy to find a book and the people were so friendly even though it was my first time there I love it
