North Berkeley BART Taco Stand

Guys, they have a name 😭 Taqueria El Chacho. $4/taco, not cheap. The suadero, cabeza, and lengua were good, but the tripas and buche were very meh. Maybe I’m spoiled by El Paisa .com in Oakland with their cheaper, LOADED tacos, but this is Berkeley and it’s not a terrible deal for the area. They have a communal table where everyone pulls up a chair and eats together. Cute street-food vibe.

It is a crime that there is no good picture of the al pastor burrito on here because it is absolutely insane. Good value for $14 and a topping station, make sure to ask for the pineapple in it. I didn't love their tacos as much, the corn tortilla was soft and soggy. Would 100% come back for the burrito though

It is delicious! And the staff were so friendly. The steak and the lengua tacos were so so good!!😊 Definitely coming back. We arrived a little early and saw the whole process of set up, it was clean and efficient. I’d say it will be helpful if you can speak Spanish but I can order food and enjoy them with no problem, please show up with a little patience, mutual respect and understanding.

What a fantastic surprise! 🎉 My Al Pastor burritos were out of this world—so tender and bursting with flavor, it felt like I was transported right back to CDMX! Having this gem so close to home is such a treat. You get to customize your burrito with all your favorite extras, and the salsas? Scrumptious! It's clear that a lot of skill and passion goes into creating this incredible dining experience, and their love for their food shines through. I’m already planning my next visit and can’t wait to have them whip up my dinner every week! What a hidden treasure to have right here in Berkeley!

I never used to be a big fan of tacos, but after this dinner, I’m hooked. They have many choices of meat. So yum highly recommend!
