If you’re on the hunt for the best Japanese restaurant in Alabama, Noriya Japanese Cuisine in Decatur is an absolute standout. Located at 2027 Beltline Road Southwest, this vibrant spot opened in late 2025 and has quickly become a favorite for authentic Japanese flavors with a fun, modern flair. From fresh sushi rolls to hearty ramen bowls, sizzling hibachi, poke, and even boba drinks, their menu is packed with delicious options that cater to every craving. The atmosphere transports you straight to Japan with its colorful neon signs, cherry blossom decor, and cozy booths – perfect for a casual lunch, family dinner, or date night. But what really sets Noriya apart is their adorable robot server that glides around delivering food and drinks right to your table! It’s a quirky, high-tech touch
Wonderful new restaurant I didn’t expect in Decatur. Interior - the restaurant is very Japanese themed which I would expect, very cute. Service was very attentive and good, and the food…. Oh my goodness the servings are huge. I got the Tonkatsu Ramen, which was fantastic. She got the eel poke bowl and we started with the bang bang shrimp. Which I’m pretty sure was hand breaded and sauced here - not frozen; at least it tasted that way. Would definitely come again. Another reason not to go to Huntsville 😊
We dined in. Very good quality food, large portions. Bang bang shrimp appetizer was awesome. We asked for mild not spicy and it was delicious. Hubs got teriyaki shrimp and scallops and I had teriyaki steak. I asked for medium rare and it was. Robot brought our dessert- creme brulee. Service was very good.
Excellent experience! First time trying tonight 1 March 2026. We got a variety of things try and everything was delicious! The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated.
This is a great start for a new restaurant. Everything was really great. Service was excellent, the atmosphere is very different. It has a relaxing but busy feel to it. I got the lunch chicken teriyaki with the bento upgrade. The food was excellent. I look forward to going back and trying more of their menu. ** Came again and wow complete 180. We ordered 2 sushi rolls. That’s it. After 40 min we left without ever getting our food. I’m really not sure what to even say. Not sure how it can go that bad so quickly
