Noodle Eighty Eight

I will start by saying that the front desk lady who took our order was amazing. Her friendliness and service was over the top. She would make a great waitress at a nice restaurant. Very knowledgeable, friendly and gave us frequent updates on our food. We couldn’t eat in as she informed us that she was the only one working up front. The food…. Not so good. Maybe a bit better than some local American Chinese restaurants but not good enough to bring me back. Noodles were way over cooked and pulled all apart when trying to eat them. Food needed salt too. One of the noodles pictured were supposed to be Lo mein and they were not Lo mein noodles, they were some sort of flat tasteless overcooked rice noddle. Nice place run by nice people, but was rather disappointed by the food at the high prices. The General Tso chicken was meh with big thick chunks of meat but the sauce and broccoli was terrible. The rice and noodles were solid and very dry, kind of gross. The golden tofu was soft and undercooked. However the $19 Mongolian beef was good.

We had enjoyed this place a number of times pre-Covid & thought we'd give it a try when passing through Souderton -- the food was even better than I had remembered! The Dan Dan noodles had just the right amount of zing, the potstickers were perfectly crisp in all the right ways, and the steamed buns stuffed with duck breast almost made me weep. The Mongolian Beef dish we shared was heavily spiced with cumin and so delicious. Best of all, the attentive and friendly service was impeccable -- highly recommend if you want a dining experience that hits on all levels.

Absolutely delicious. For only $8.88 lunch special you get an entree, salad, and noodles. It seems small at first but in the end it's actually really filling. They have chocolate fortune cookies which is a nice change of pace. Wait staff is very kind and speedy. I got my food in under five minutes.

Very friendly staff who are very proud of what they offer. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Looking forward to making this our go to place! Thank you so much for a great meal.
