Nonnie's Bakery

The bakery is inside TREX shop now (Nov 2025). There was no available fresh kolache when we arrived at around 1PM. We tried the pre-packed cream cheese kolache ($1.99 for 1 pc).

Came at 7am. Lots of selection but kolache wasn’t soft or fresh tasting. Got the cheese sausage for $4 and it had no cheese and was a regular hot dog weenie.

First time visiting Nonnie’s Bakery in Caldwell, TX. The sausage kolaches were the best I have ever had. The fruit kolaches were mediocre. The only reason I did not give a higher rating is due to the service. There were no labels on any of the kolaches so I had to ask what kind each one was. The lady helping us seemed annoyed that we didn’t know and answered in a condescending tone. All that was missing from her was an eye roll.

Best kolaches in town. The bread was so moist and so soft it was very delicious I can't wait to get back home so I can get some more. I purchased a dozen some went to Abilene Texas someone to San Angelo Texas. Absolutely the best and very fresh. 💙 Even my grandbaby loved them. his favorite was the cream cheese just like Grandma

Nonnie knows what she's doing! We tried the strawberry cheesecake snail, chocolate chip and cinnamon muffins, and 3 different kolaces (pineapple, banana pudding, and the sausage cheese). None of them disappointed! Highly recommend this family run place (by the way, the whole strip they're in is run by the same family- TREX store and Papa G's- which was also great!)
