Nick's Bar-B-Q & Catfish

I am honestly disappointed! What a waste of $50. The chicken skin was seasoned with a mild spice level but the chicken itself was dry, chewy, and unseasoned. The ribs, turkey, and brisket were tender; But the only flavor you got was a slight smokey taste. The sausage was salty. I used their honey bbq sauce as the mild didn’t have a good flavor. I had to saturate the meats to get flavor. The fish was clean, crispy, and seasoned pretty good overall. The sides were definitely store bought with added seasoning only. The banana pudding was amazing. The sweet tea was hot and unsweetened with a lemon taste.

Warning: don’t get rings as yer side.—Nice folks. Decent enough food. Spouse liked her bbq chicken and sides. Fish sand was yummy and a little small but mostly of filling. Disappointment was three onion rings. Wife tried to sell it as “really big rings” but i wasn’t buying it. See pix, thats what came out. You tell me. Wish id got the okra.

Stopped for the first time after passing it for years. The catfish and shrimp were delicious and so were the greens and potato salad. If you like dessert, the banana pudding was really good! Great stop with plenty of parking for truckers.

Ok. So here’s why I gave 4 stars for the food. Any & everybody that know me, know I am a bbq ribs fanatic. It is my most favorite food ever. Nicks was good but I’ve had better. His was really tender but mostly bone. Texture was very good. No same thing on catfish, I don’t eat everybody catfish because they dont know how to clean it & cook it…NICKS CATFISH SANDWICH WAS PERFECTLY GOOD 👍🏾💪🏾 The service was like family. Come on in & have a seat. I absolutely loved it. I really like this place and very much look forward to eating here again. Oh yeah, plenty of parking.
