Newt's Catfish Seafood & Steaks

Came here for our first time, the atmosphere was great upon walking in.. a older gentleman playing an acoustic guitar, singing.. i ordered the seafood platter, the food tasted pretty good but the portions were small. As you can see... & i asked one of the waitresses that walked past our table maybe 10 times, to refill our drinks and she rudely said shed get my server who was actually busy with other tables... even tho she was headed in the direction of the drinks! So other than that, & the potions... it was good, but probably wont be back... you can go to LTS CATFISH in purvis ms & get the same food but WAYYY more & prices are better at LTS as well. Where i spent 50 here and didnt even get any appetizers. At LTS i spent 54 & got 2 apps & 2 meals... & enough to bring some home....

Me & my best friend came here for the 1st time to eat and the food was awesome we had crab legs & a pound of boiled shrimp with 2 sides. It was delicious & work every penny.

The restaurant was nice. There was a single acoustic guitar singer there. Our server was knowledgeable and very attentive. We got the Fried crab claws as an appetizer they were ok. My son got the chicken strip platter and my husband got the seafood platter with two sides. I got the 2 boiled lobsters with 2 sides. One would have been plenty. Our server told us they were huge and I thought she was just talking about the lobster tails. I was wrong. When she brought my plate to me my eyes were huge there were 2 ginormous maine lobsters on that plate. And for dessert the fried cheesecake is the BOMB!! We enjoyed our meal and we will be back

This place is definitely worth your time going too. The blackened Catfish and fried shrimp was delicious. The blackened Catfish was some of the best I have ever had. Service was great. It doesn't look all fancy but the food and service is fantastic

The crab legs and shrimp are huge and flavorful. Cat fish is great as well. We wish we could have tasted everything 😋. In town from Atlanta and hope to be back again.
