Newberry Cafe

Trucker here. This is my new favorite place, and I’m for sure stopping by next time I’m passing by. Chicken fajita for was delicious and I loved the red soup with it. I also ordered the shrimp plate for to go, and everything was 10/10 great food, great service. Well done 👍

I enjoy the staff and their welcoming personalities. I just ordered for pickup and am delighted to hear the tone of hospitality over the phone. It’s perfectly quaint gem in our rural community.

The Mexican food is dialed in. We licked our plates clean. Highly recommended. The fish tacos were absolute perfection and the wet burrito was meaty and flavorful. Some of the best food around. Enter through the gas station. Lovely staff made it a great experience. Service was fast and hot.

Absolute diamond in the rough! I was road trippin from Flagstaff to SoCal and probably put off eating too long, so I stopped off at a chevron in Newberry Springs for a refill. I expected to only get a bag of jerky until I pulled into the station and seen flags featuring burritos and tacos. It was like the heavens opened up and I could hear the Angels singing lol. Rolled in and got two tacos (Al Pastor and Lengua) and a carnitas mulita and OMG it was amazing! Who knew you could get quality Mexican food at a random gas station a couple minutes outside of Barstow? I still have family in Cali, hence the trip, and this spot will FOR SURE be a refuel stop (in more ways than one). As a matter of fact, on my way back to Flagstaff I got a breakfast burrito and it didn't disappoint.

What a great find along the highway. All thanks to our trusty google maps which led us to Newberry Cafe that specializes in authentic Mexican food. Really friendly guy that helped with the order. 4 street tacos, 4 chicken strips & fries, meat burrito, iced horchata all came to around $38.
