New Dorp Library

Well, I asked different branch from the same library about this new branch.It says is under construction and is going to open in january of 2026

Lowkey fire library 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Only thing is the lack of charging areas I only know of 2 areas that contain a charging port, pretty sure the little bronze caps on the floor are charging ports, maybe free them up?

It says temporarily closed yet they've been closed for a year now. It was so convenient those location for me and the staff so helpful so why is it closed temporarily, its probably permanently closed unfortunately

It's my first time come here. I see people talking very loudly on the phone, chatting. Very noisy. Children can't concentrate on reading and studying, and there's no librarian in this library to control it. The library is supposed to need a quiet environment.

I honestly don't understand why this library has such high reviews. First of all, there are probably only two working outlets in the entire building. It's a library. People come to work and study here. There needs to be working outlets. Clownery. Second, this place resembles a nightclub most of the time. Every time I come in here there are people playing music, talking loudly on speakerphone, playing noisy games, and children running and screaming. Doesn't sound like how a library is supposed to be. The most appalling and hypocritical "rule" of them all is there is no food allowed. All other typical library etiquette goes out the window but I can't eat a taco real quick? The worst part was the "security man" came over to me, pointed at the camera in front of me, and said "you've been cau
