humble corner spot, big flavor! listen to the reviews: the ⭐️ jhol momo ⭐️ was the fan favorite. star of the show! food: it was ok! what we got: ⭐️ chicken jhol momo 5/5 loved the soup! does contain peanuts ⭐️ chicken tandoori momo 4/5 good spicy level, spicy - himilayan noodles 3/5 flavorful but only ok - chicken jimboo le janeko 3/5 ok, kinda tasted sweet like ketchup - chicken choyal momo 3/5 good wrapper texture, not a fan of this flavor profile on the sweeter side service: the two folks running the place were fantastic. our server was efficient, waiting the full restaurant during a busy sunday afternoon atmosphere: feels like a friendly, cozy neighborhood spot. almost like a hidden gem where if you know, you know
Just had the chicken Jhol momo at Nepali Momo in Philly, simple and absolutely perfect. I’m from New York and have tried pretty much every respected spot in Jackson Heights and beyond, but this chicken jhol just blew everything else away. Bright, spicy, tangy, loaded with their homemade authentic jhol broth, that glossy red sauce on top… insane flavor in every spoonful. The momos were perfectly steamed with thin, neat wrappers that held up beautifully in the broth. Clean execution, no fuss, just pure Nepali goodness. Best jhol momo I’ve ever had, hands down. If you’re in Philly, run don’t walk. 🔥🥟
The goat johl momo was tasted as phenomenal as it smelled. Appreciated the variable spice options too. The tea was refreshing as well and kept me going through a late night. Fresh cut flowers on each table was a thoughtful and warming touch. Cant wait to try other dishes on the menu.
The place is nice and cozy but the momo here was just okay. My favorite was jhaneko momo but the jhol momo was kinda bitter tasting. The choila was cooked, which is very odd. Chowmin was chewy so overall we weren’t that satisfied with the food. The service was nice though
Favorite momos in the city of Philadelphia! When every restaurant in the city is striving to get consistent customers, this restaurant is packed on a Sunday evening! Because its momos are the ultimate comfort food and don’t break the bank. The goat momo soup was warm, comforting and flavorful, 5/5; the choyal Momo is served in the traditional Nepalese sauce, 5/5. The sauce had a strong tomato base. I couldn’t stop but licked the plate clean afterwards. Overall, 5/5 experience with no frills.
