Negril Restaurant

I’ve been coming here off and on for quite a few years. The food is always good but what deters me from coming more often (hence spending more money with this restaurant) is the wait time. Took 20 minutes to be served 1 plate of jerk chicken and rice. Other than that the food is good and the lady that actually served my food was very pleasant. Good size portion of food for a large size plate ($20).

The flavors, wonderful! That's all I have to say about the food, flavorful, colorful, and exceptional. The prices aren't too bad, and the portions given can fill someone up. I ordered the jerk chicken with the rice and peas, cabbage, and some curry goat. Absolutely amazing! I also recommend their patty's. They have a little bit of crunch on them, while soft on the inside. I've been going here for a little bit, and it never disappoints!

My partner ordered me food from here and I was just too excited because it's my first time. I saw the food and tasted just a bit at a time. Well I can say I am fairly disappointed as the Mac n cheese was a portion for a 3 yr and the noodles was tasteless with butter or oil slapped on top of the cheese. The jerk chicken was dry and I had Brice and peas with curry goat. The sauce was actually good but my rice had no taste. I don't think I would personally order from here after my first experience.

Food was good but here's my concern... none of the workers wore gloves, cashier also serving food, and a "convenience fee" added for an order I stood in line for. But, food was still good!

I use to live close to the silver star location years ago. The food was very authentic and seasoned well. The customer service was friendly and they cared about the taste and quality of the food. But today, my visit was far less than what I expected!! I know the area has grown and the workers that were once there have moved on. And along with that, so has the quality and taste of the food! I had an express stew chicken with beans and rice. The rice was just beans washed from a can and cooked with rice. No seasoning at all!! The chicken let’s just say browning and pepper with some veggies(carrots) was the flavor. I could say more but I think this was enough to show that something has changed. Perhaps ownership and cooks🤔
