My kids love the children’s department; however, the librarians care much more about rules than actual people. On a day every adult desk was full, the teen area was nearly completely empty. There were so or eight EMPTY desks. I sat at a desk to do a bit of work and was kicked out by a librarian. I tried to explain the adult area was full, and that of course I would give up my seat to a teen if needed, but she didn’t care. What if I was with my teen? Am I not allowed to step foot in the area? I also experienced being told to “get a babysitter” for the craft class rather than have my kids color quietly while I crafted. If my kids weren’t able to be quiet, I wouldn’t have come. But as a single parent, “getting a babysitter” isn’t always simple and is reserved for bigger needs. What about brea

Apparently their policy allows people to take calls anywhere at whatever volume they like (loud), with limited study rooms, so it is impossible to do work. Not a study-friendly place at all. For people, if you need to do work calls, go to a Starbucks. Libraries are supposed to be quiet.

Beautiful place. Librarians who are more than willing to go out of their way to help.

Amazing staff 😃 always looking forward to helping others out

This is a wonderful library. I take my kids in regularly, and they can get loud in there, especially during a staff-initiated scavenger hunt! We always have a great time in there; There are tons of books for every reading ability, and I never see a wait line for the computers. The staff has always been kind and helpful, and patient with the Kids' section, which includes a 3 (I think) part play kitchen, complete with plates and pots! We will continue to read and enjoy the vast greatness that lies here! I say the word, "library", and my girls both go, "Kitchen Library?!"
