Nautilus Diner

This is a great diner still here from when I was a kid growing up in Massapequa. It hasn't changed in the 40 years since I was last here as a teen. The food and service are as good as they were back in the 80's.

Tried to get an order for pickup. I wanted 2 grilled chicken avocado wraps. We are trying to eat healthy and sub the fries for veggies. They charge $4 extra to sub veggie instead of fries plus $2.50 each wrap for a whole wheat wrap. $25 a wrap. You are out of your minds! Will not come back ever. Rude person on the phone. I remember this diner was closed for years well I can picture soon it will happen again. Watch for all the upcharges that are hidden.

If you're looking for the most medicore food you'll ever eat this is the place to go. I went here a handful of times as it was close by and I was hungry but honestly it's not worth the prices. I've had the driest piece of cheese cake, the crunchiest milkshake, the most bland chocolate cake, and the saltiest French onion soup I've ever eaten among other things. This place wouldnt know flavor if it was injected directly in to the veins of the chef. The only redeemable quality of this place is the well dressed and professional wait staff. Save your money and eat somewhere more appetizing.

Visited on the night of August 15, 2025 (a Friday). It was a good night to go out to eat here. I attached pictures of my meal & dessert. I’ll be back again soon. Keep in mind it costs $4.99 extra to replace French fries with onion rings. For dessert lemon meringue & strawberry cheesecake are excellent.

I love coming here the food is always fresh and the presentation on point for a diner. The staffs uniforms are superb makes you feel like you're in a fancy restaurant. I had the soft shell crab franchise 😋 so good. I highly recommend it and they have a full bar 🍸for those that want a cocktail with dinner.
