Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe

I have been to Nardelli’s in Farmington, Waterbury, Southington, and Danbury and have had five star experiences at all of those locations. Unfortunately, the sandwich I got here just wasn’t it. There was chicken by itself on one side of the sandwich and the other side was mostly just veggies and mayo. I ate about a quarter of it and then decided I’m good. I understand that not everything is going to be perfect all the time, but considering the reputation that Nardelli’s has in Connecticut I expected much more. I hope other people had a better experience, but I would be cautious of taking the Nardelli’s name at face value for this location.

The food is great, lots of options and they are all delicious. Just wanted to point out, I went today and I think it was the owner who was there cause it’s the same older guy every time, and he was a pleasure. But the real stand out was the worker with pink hair. She was kind AND friendly, which is a rarity for her assumed age and type of position. It stood out enough that it made me want to write this review. Kudos for hiring her, and she made my experience better along with the scrumptious sandwich she put together!

Very rarely do I give a one star review but in this case, I think it is warranted here. Employees are reflection of good or poor management. In this case, my wife picked up sandwiches to go. Her sandwich was made as she ordered. My sandwich she had requested it be made just as it says on the menu. The pastrami sandwich on the menu is baked with cheese mustard, and has the word everything in quotations which includes lettuce, tomato, classic dice mix, which I believe is a vegetable spread, olives, and hot sauce. The whole size is $15.49 so I expect to get what I pay for. It is not unreasonable to also expect employees to know the menu that they are working with all day long. Pastrami is popular so I can't imagine how mine was the first sandwich they got made all day. I called and expressed

Once again, We made the mistake of thinking this spot would hold up to the overall reputation of the Nardellis brand. Once again they failed miserably. Make sure you check your food before walking out the door whether you order there or through the app. This time we ordered through the app. Paid an additional $1 for extra cheese on a meatball grinder . Ended up getting 3 small slices on a large grinder. There were 4 slices on a small ham and cheese grinder. The marinara sauce I think they forgot to put on. I had to add my own sauce Got to say the bread and meatballs were very good but for the price you pay you expect much better. People from our workplace go there often but we are seriously considering going an extra quarter mile to Jersey Mike's. My mother once told me, "Fool me once sham

I’m originally from NY and this is like the neighborhood Italian Deli. The sandwiches are incredible as well as the salads. My daughter had a Spring salad with fresh mozzarella and tomato at one location. I went to another location the next time and didn’t see it and asked, they said they stopped making them there but said they’d make it if I wanted and I did. Such nice people and awesome food.
