The chicken was hot, crispy and well-seasoned and the waffle was amazing; slightly crispy on the outside and super fluffy and soft in the inside. The staff are super nice and attentive. My new breakfast/lunch haunt on the weekends!

It has potential. It is a small cute space. The chicken & waffles definitely steal the show, however the other items on the menu that I tried I could definitely do without. The "cheese grits" were slices of kraft singles not even melted into the grits with no seasoning. The Mac and cheese was very bland no flavor. The eggs needed salt and pepper. I would recommend for the chicken and waffles only. They should consider downsizing their menu and thinking of quality over quantity.

PROS: Waffle, beans and rice, cabbage good. Good customer service. 8oz portion sizes adequate. CONS: Cockroach bait station placed in customer area in full view. -Peach cobbler, frozen in the center. Drowned in 3mm of cold watery slush at the sides and bottom so badly it was discarded untouched (photo shown after water was drained off). Had high hopes but unfortunately It takes one bad item to prevent us from repurchasing ANYTHING.

Ordered the chicken with red velvet waffles. It was amazing! Waffle was soft and tender drizzled with cream cheese frosting. The chicken was perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside while hot and juicy in. Both were delicious on there own but put them together with the syrup and you have a little taste of heaven. Definitely going back for more!

If you want good soul food at a reasonable price. This is the place to come. I had the oxtails with mac and cheese and cabbage.. excellent. The meat was tender and seasoned well. I also had yellow cake with chocolate frosting which was excellent. The owners cook the food themselves and the staff are very friendly. So, if you are in Brooklyn or not. It's worth the trip.
